Mega Dental Camp in Kibera
On March 20, 2026, over 60,000 individuals gathered for the largest single-day dental outreach in Kenya’s history. 550+ healthcare personnel provided preventive care, extractions, specialized pediatric and geriatric support, and inclusive services for differently-abled participants. The campaign successfully transitioned oral health from a clinical service into a culturally resonant, community-owned movement.
Education, Inclusion and Impact
The 2026 World Oral Health Day campaign achieved a profound impact by integrating inclusive education with large-scale community outreach, reaching over 900,000 direct beneficiaries across 23 counties. Education was prioritized through school-based programming that engaged approximately 602,000 learners using interactive tools like the FDI Mouth Heroes kits and a Kiswahili anthem that garnered over 2 million views. Inclusion was a core pillar, evidenced by tailored programs for 1,000 Deaf individuals, tactile lessons for students at the Thika School for the Blind, and dedicated geriatric care for 1,250 elderly persons.
