Dr Vincent Mwangi

Dr. Vincent Mwangi is a Kenyan Dental Surgeon and emerging global health policy leader whose work sits at the intersection of clinical care, community research, and systems change. From two-month field research expeditions in Elgeyo Marakwet and Kisumu to leading dental outreach in Samburu, he has worked where Kenya’s oral health system doesn’t reach — with one dentist for every 40,000 people.

Trained in digital health and research ethics through AMPATH and Chandaria Cancer Centre, he pioneered the transition to digital health records for oncology research. In 2023, he was selected for the Japan Global Health and Nuclear Weapons Workshop in Hiroshima, where he trained on health, governance and human security between global conflicts — a perspective that now drives his mission to integrate preventive oral health into Primary Health Care and Universal Health Coverage in Africa.
