Which dental clinics in Nairobi accept SHA?
Arrow Dental accepts SHA for civil servants, under the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF), at all four branches in Nairobi CBD, the Digital Centre, Thika Road and Thika Town. Here is how to use your cover.

From the SHA and insurance at Arrow Dental guide
Arrow Dental accepts SHA for civil servants, under the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF), at all four of its branches. Other SHA members are not covered at Arrow Dental, so they pay for treatment themselves or use private insurance. Two branches are in Nairobi CBD, one is on Thika Road and one is in Thika Town. We also offer direct billing with 25+ private insurers, so you can usually be seen on your cover without paying upfront for covered treatment.
Will SHA or my insurance pay for this?
If you are a civil servant, that depends on the treatment. Preventive and basic care is generally covered in full, major procedures may be partly covered when medically necessary, and cosmetic work is typically not covered. Read what SHA covers for the detail.
Where can you use it?
| Branch | Address | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Nairobi CBD | Pension Towers, 2nd Floor, Loita Street | Mon–Sat 7 AM–7 PM, Sun 8:30 AM–5 PM |
| Digital Centre | Pension Towers, 5th Floor, Loita Street | Mon–Sat 7 AM–7 PM, Sun 8:30 AM–5 PM |

| Thika Town | Thika Gateway Plaza, 2nd Floor, Gatitu | Mon–Sat 8 AM–6 PM, closed Sunday |
How does it work on the day?
- Tell us you are using SHA as a civil servant, or private insurance, when you book.
- Bring your SHA details or insurance card.
- We examine you and give you a written treatment plan.
- We handle the pre-authorisation and confirm what is covered before treatment begins.
What should you ask any clinic?
Ask whether your specific scheme is accepted at the branch you are visiting, whether pre-authorisation is needed, and what you would have to pay if part of the treatment is not covered. A good clinic answers all three before you sit in the chair.
