How much does teeth whitening cost in Kenya?
Professional teeth whitening at Arrow Dental starts from KES 28,000. Here is what you get for it, and why it is rarely covered by insurance.

From the Teeth whitening guide
Professional in-clinic teeth whitening at Arrow Dental starts from KES 28,000. The visit takes 60 to 90 minutes and is available at all four branches. A consultation first confirms that whitening will work on your type of staining.
What will this cost me?
| Item | Starting price |
|---|---|
| Professional teeth whitening | KES 28,000 |
| Consultation and assessment | KES 1,500 |
What can change the result or the plan?
- The type of stain. Tea, coffee and tobacco stains usually respond well. Some deep discolouration may suit masking or veneers better.
- Existing crowns, veneers and fillings. Whitening only works on natural enamel. These keep their original shade, so if you are planning both we whiten first and match the new work afterwards.
- Cleaning first. Tartar blocks whitening, so a professional clean may come first.
Does insurance or SHA pay for whitening?
Usually not. Purely cosmetic procedures such as whitening or veneers are typically not covered by SHA, and most private schemes treat them the same way. Check your own policy, or ask us to check it with you.
Is a cheaper whitening kit a good alternative?
Be careful. Acidic home remedies and unregulated high-strength gels bought online can permanently erode enamel and burn gums. Read the risks of DIY whitening before you try one.
