A simple tooth extraction at Arrow Dental starts from KES 4,000. If a tooth is impacted and needs surgical removal, it starts from KES 15,000. A child’s extraction starts from KES 2,500. We confirm which applies after an examination and, usually, an X-ray.
What will this cost me?
| Type of extraction | Starting price |
|---|---|
| Simple extraction | KES 4,000 |
| Surgical removal or wisdom tooth disimpaction | KES 15,000 |
| Child’s tooth extraction | KES 2,500 |
| Consultation | KES 1,500 |
What changes the price?
- Simple or surgical. A tooth that is fully through the gum is usually simple. One that is impacted or broken at the gumline needs surgical access.
- Which tooth. Wisdom teeth and molars can take longer. Each wisdom tooth usually takes 30 to 60 minutes.
- How many teeth. Several extractions are often planned together.
Does SHA pay for extractions?
Basic extractions are generally covered under SHA for civil servants. See what SHA covers.
Should the tooth come out at all?
Not always. If a tooth can be saved, a root canal usually costs less in the long run, because an extraction leaves a gap. If the gap needs filling later, here is what replacing a tooth costs.
