How much does dental treatment cost in Kenya?
Starting prices for every treatment at Arrow Dental, what makes a price go up or down, and how to pay for it.

Most dental treatment in Kenya has a wide price range, because the same word can describe very different work. Below are Arrow Dental’s starting prices for each treatment. Your exact price depends on your mouth, so we confirm it in writing after an examination and before anything is done.

Why do dental prices vary so much between clinics?
Three things drive the difference: the materials used, the equipment available, and the experience of the person doing the work. A crown milled from imported zirconia on a digital scanner is not the same product as an acrylic crown made from a putty impression, even though both get called “a crown”.
When you compare quotes, ask what material is being used, what is included, and whether follow-up visits are part of the price. The cheapest quote is only cheaper if it covers the same work.
How do you avoid a surprise bill?
A consultation starts from KES 1,500 and covers a full examination, a discussion of what we find, and a written treatment plan with costs. You will not be charged for treatment you have not agreed to. If the plan has to change once we can see the full picture, we tell you before we proceed, not after.
Can you pay in instalments?
Yes, for major treatment such as braces, implants, full mouth restoration and complex orthodontics. You pay a deposit at the start, then the balance in instalments aligned with your follow-up visits. All branches take M-Pesa, card and cash.
Will insurance pay some of it?
Often, yes. Preventive and basic care is generally covered under SHA for civil servants, major procedures may be partly covered, and we bill 25+ private insurers directly. Read what SHA covers or see the insurers we work with.
